Bloody hate this time of the year!!!

For a total of about three decades I was involved in department store retail and then online mail order and merchandising. I still have nightmares.

Xmas is horrible, people are horrible.

Combine those 2 and horrible just goes exponential.

One of the reason why I hate this time of the year. I would never be able to work in retail.

I used to work in retail in a well known store in the UK. Christmas was a nightmare but if you work on the customer services desk then you get hit with all the returns after both that and the January sales.

and they seem to get worse around Christmas. 90% of customer abuse falls in and around the fortnight of Christmas...peaking on Christmas Day since we are a retail business that operates on Christmas Day.

There is a distinct lack of respect for those that give up their time to be with family who have gone all out to make a great day, often travelling for hours from interstate to spend time together.
