Indeed, if you peel back the layer of leftist critiques of Trump’s early actions and early hires, they contain a surprising amount of alarmism over the rollback of governmental power. Education activists are terrified that Betsy DeVos will take children out of government schools or roll back government mandates regarding campus sexual-assault tribunals. Environmentalists are terrified that Scott Pruitt will make the EPA less activist. So you don't believe in the bigger picture maxim that ''divisiveness makes it easier to rule''? It's a well known tactic. Let's get rid of these federal laws that ensure ALL Americans are treated the same all over the country and let's give back to states these petty rulings that are feudal, where they can decide to discriminate where discrimination had ended. The transgender issue is just one more of these acts that show no desire to unite. (United (?) States of America? )

Are the president and his team only trying to unify the country under the same banner for the same rights? Not the discourse we're hearing. Forgive me if I have my doubts. They are going against the idea of 'E Pluribus Unum' to make it into 'E pluribus pluribum'. Fine if that's what you want. It's not going to be the melting pot the USA has had the reputation to be. There only is an American culture and an American Dream because that melting pot existed, imperfect as it may have made its alloys. Again, America wants to be 'great again', so the president says, but it doesn't want to be the beacon of hope it was (still is, will continue to be?) ? Who understands all this bipolarity?

Seems to me the ones promoting Identity Politics are the ones trying to subdivide America into special interest groups.

See, one thing many foreigners and even citizens, seem not to understand is that the United States of America is not a democracy. We are a constitutional federal republic. I'll leave it to individual readers to research what a federal republic is.

We have this little thing called the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. The 10th Amendment which states:

The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.

So, anything not in the Constitution is deferred to the States, or the People, and the Federal government ought to give great care when deciding things that affect all our states and territories.

Well, Trump isn't the only or first politician to have protesters removed from their speeches or campaign events. So, that literally proves absolutely squat.
