No, well, I did mean prominent, not overbearing... lol. I know what you're saying, Deephiance, but how do you get them in without alienating them? And do you mean lesbian or bi women?

It really doesn't matter what their sexuality or gender identity is, it would just be nice to have more females.

I really don't think there is any real solution, but alienating women is a predominantly male forum is alienating enough without adding an AO section that I feel not only would women have no interest, but could also feel intimidate by.

I mother seeking advice about a child for example may balk at adults only...and in my honest opinion, I think they already do with some of the male dominate body threads.

I'm not saying they are bad, I don't participate in them for my own personal reasons, I am saying they could deter ladies.

Yes I can because it is a fact that this is and always has been dominated with mostly male members. There have been some very active women posting a lot, Rainbowmum and Pix are 2 that jump out at me. Just need to look at the top 15 posters of all time.

Collectively perhaps we should work out why the ladies are not so active or tempted to joining the forum and then we can perhaps find a solution.

I have always found the advice of a women/motherly figure to be greater and usually the best advice given.

We also don't have many with gender identity issues active and I would really love to hear from them as well, I still have a lot to learn and let's face it, us males are crap teachers because men usually feel threatened by other men who give good advice and go on the defensive.

I can't agree with that.

Huge charm that this site has is because it's a men only forum, for all intents and purposes. Everywhere else on the internet there are men and females together on a forum. Here, there are no females. And that needs to stay the way it is.

I said 'for all intents and purposes'. One or two of them is as good as none. I can ignore them easily.

Rainbowmum has never been active while I've been on the forum. At least I haven't seen her once. Pix is around sometimes, but it's not difficult to ignore one person.

And those forums you quote -- they saw most of their action before 2015.

So, yes, for all intents and purposes there are zero females here. If that changes, I will leave, yes.

Wasn't challenging your wording there, just merely stating there was a time there were many active female members that the forum feels not male dominant. ie The forum isn't always like what it feels right now.
