His talent went largely unnoticed due partly to his own modesty and perceived shyness. Also, as with those before him, mean felt intimidated with his overt sexuality, real or percieved, and his androgony.

he showcased his own talent, he was also overtly sexual and extremely confident....BUT he hated the attention and the accolades because they embarrassed him

I've heard heard tales of how he'd taken to performing in complete darkness (as in kill the stage lights) in his later years. He certainly was something else.

Shame that we still can't revel in His Highness's grandeur to this day. Apparently his intellectual property is still off-limits on the usual channels.

For years, I was blissfully ignorant of what "Doin Horse" actually meant :biggrin:
