I was once with a guy.. He lived a hour max away? and Nah I couldn't stand it. Just the whole random meetings like.. finishing work and being hey want to get something to eat? 'Yeh see you in 5!' and all stuff like that.. You have to be more planned and eurgh. Long distance doesn't really suit me.. Yet everyone I seem to talk to and think woah hes nice lives miles away!!!!
Always the way eh?

I don't think it 'suits' anyone (or at least hardly anyone), its just more difficult for some than others. I hate being in a long-distance relationship but I love my guy and we work far away from each other, so until we can move jobs to be closer to each other. Short of dumping him, I've got no option but to put up with it.

Life is what happens while you are busy making other plans.

Had one relationship that required me to endure a 45 minute bus ride. The trips became too expensive so I dumped him over the phone. I was young, but that was no excuse. Mind you, I was able to buy a groovy hat and a replica T-Bird jacket with the money I saved

The best relationship of my life was a six-month long-distance relationship. The distance nearly killed it, but we persevered. My parents killed it, as he was four years older than me. x) I learned a lot from it, no regrets whatsoever.

In my experience, it doesn't work. And it certainly doesn't for me. I'm a much too physical person, and I NEED the intimacy.
I admire those who make it work, but can't help feeling you're settling for something less.
