I feel that your mother is agnry because you didnt let her know and she heard it on FB, rather than you telling them.
Her message says ''Needless to say your father and I are not thrilled with your latest news. That you have no problem announcing your news to the world on Facebook, but think it's okay to leave us IN THE DARK UNTILL THE LAST MINUTE. IT HURTS!''

No, guys, he told them, then posted on facebook. The mother was still having her reaction at hearing the news and then she saw it on facebook too. Actually it was my sister who saw it on Facebook. She told my mom that's how she learned about it.
