So, I'm very critical of documentaries like this.. Ever watched (or heard of) Ancient Aliens? The obsession over the pyramids is well, it's funny.
So I looked up the patent number they went on about...there's no mention of a pyramid in the patent... I didn't read the entire patent because ain't nobody got time for that but here's what I gathered based on what I do know of Tesla and from what I read. Tesla wanted to be able to transmit power over the air, of course we know now that's not really possible at least not in a way that would power appliances. However, you can transmit energy in the form of radio waves which frankly I think Tesla was on the verge of discovering. The rest of the documentary is balloney, melding myths and religion into science...and thus pseudoscience. While I don't know, haven't researched the purpose of or how the pyramids were built I think we often look at ancient civilizations as inferior to us as assume that aliens built it or there's no way they could have constructed something so complex. They may very well have had technology that we simply don't know of. After all, how much of your cell phone would be left after 10,000 years..probably nothing discernable...so there could be a lot of things simply list to time. At any rate, I don't think Tesla was on to something and his death hardly mysterious, he died of coronary thrombosis in his 80's. At any rate, not trying to be rude or mean or anything like that, just be very very skeptical on documentaries have have bold claims...especially anything about the pyramids...not sure what the deal is with that. Take it with a big grain of salt and consider it entertainment. Here's an article about the Ancient Aliens show that might be a good read... https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-n...-86294030/

Hi Inbetweendreams I was skeptical at first too but there is much more evidence some of which you can't ignore.

A case of argumentum ad video. Here's a man who can speak Venusian.
Trust me, I was sceptical at first.

@tomtom Thanks for posting... pretty fascinating and towards the end of the first video in your second post they present quite a of evidence!
@Cardiganwearer Interesting too but a little off topic unless you were being highly sarcastic with the scepticism remark!

@tomtom Well sure, they do provide a lot of evidence but never in any of these videos do you find any real proof. I say that because I used to be big into conspiracy theories and things like this. These guys make a ton on money getting people to believe in whatever...even things like the Earth is flat.
It is similar to how people sell certain crystals and gems saying they have special powers, have certain energies. Do they? Maybe? They look cool and I can appreciate the fact that people do believe they do, but can anyone prove it? Nope. Now, unfortunately I don't have time to watch the videos posted (lunch break) but if there's something in these videos that provides some concrete evidence of such do feel free to post. Again, not trying to be an ass or anything...let's just say I'm a hard sell.

Thank you Inbetweendreams but is evidence not proof? The electric light bulb drawings and hieroglyphics in the Dendera Light from the Hathor Temple c 1500 BC are hard to explain away!

The electric light bulb drawings and hieroglyphics in the Dendera Light from the Hathor Temple c 1500 BC are hard to explain away! I understand where you're coming from but the evidence, at least in this specific example, is arguably not evidence at all... To me it looks like a snake or serpent... I know people hate when the Wikipedia card is used but it is a good source for information and always a good place to start with research. Quote:Mainstream interpretation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dendera_light Here's the problem with these so called documentary, they only give anecdotal evidence, they often use phrases like "It might be that..." or "It is possible..." When you hear those phrases used in something that is supposed to be a documentary about history or whatever it is, your BS meter should be sounding, at least you should be extremely skeptical. Is there a way to really disprove that the Dendera Light isn't a lightbulb...I suppose not, other than well, if you ask me, it isn't. I classify these sort of thing in the same boat as trying to disprove that the world's leaders are really reptiles running everything and are tasked with keeping us enslaved. I mean can you tell me that Hillary Clinton isn't a reptile? Or is it just a poor quality image? You and hopefully most people would say it's just the image right? The problem isn't so much that they're wrong it is how they're pitching it. This sort of thinking, or lack there of leads to things like the flat Earth movement. I can't take you on a Space-X rocket to prove to someone that the Earth is indeed round just I can't prove or disprove that the ancient Egyptians had advanced technology. It is entirely possible that at some point that ancient civilizations had some technology, but it isn't likely at least not on a large scale like today and we haven't found any fossilized iPhone 12's yet. Joking aside, we can argue that virtually none of our electronics, buildings would be left after 10,000 years, most will decay away leaving future generations making possibly wild conclusions about us. Here's the bottom line, believe what you want to believe, after all people believe in Santa Claus in the sky who will condemn us to Hell if we don't behave. Not trying to tell you what to believe necessarily but I think we should very suspicious to those trying to pitch us the idea that aliens where on the planet and gave them advanced tech and can only offer us "It might be" and "It's possible that" and nothing more.

Don't scare Tom away peeps!
I'm still fascinated by Egyptian history. I think their civilisation as we know it was actually a lot older or was based on a previous one. Have you ever wondered why we only have historical records from 5000 years. What happened before that? LOL I think the human race is a lot older than we are being told. I'm not a fan of the Reptilian conspiracy theories as rolling eyes can be easily faked via CGI!

An anthropology professor once told me it's mainly because going from hunter-gatherers to agriculture wasn't desirable for the longest time. All of our domesticated animals were originally wild animals that weren't as meaty and tame, and all of our crops were originally wild plants that weren't as filling. Domestication and cultivation only happened out of necessity, and it wasn't such a lucrative move when it first happened. In a lot of places, the ancestral hunter gatherers were taller and more fed than their farming descendants. Given that, maybe it was the Repitilians who made us agricultural in the first place. We were all egalitarian hunter gatherers, and then bam! The Reptilians landed and made us a bunch of hierarchical city states. Not that I'm against the Reptilians, of course. To all the Reptilian overlords reading this, I assure you, I know my place |
