Der being masculine 'the' in German. I first used this monochre while I was in Germany for gaming, so it only made sense. Jack is my middle name and actually I get it from my grandfather, who went by Jack even though it was his middle name, also most of the Jacks I've met it's their middle name, not first.
And in the end, I've always considered myself a bit of a 'Jack of all trades' so that's kind of the overall 'the jack' thing as in THE jack of all trades, not just A jack of all trades...
