Any recommendations for a dating app?
#1
For those who find their partner thru gay dating apps can you guys share what apps do you think are the best? I’m currently doing the dating app as going out and meeting people in places arent an option for me at the moment.

Besides, I’m trying to get a mature, a bit older foreign guy. There’s something about them that attracts me and I like how their mindset works based on almost anything compared to locals.

So yeah, any recommendations will be appreciated!

That's the thing, I don't know any "good" ones but I have met people on dating apps, met my partner on Grindr. I've also met people on POF (Plenty of Fish) and I have talked to others on various apps. Mind you, Grindr is not known for being a "dating" app but more of a hook-up scene but location, location, location makes all the difference on how these apps might be used differently based on whether you're in a city or out in the country.

Mind you I am in the US and some apps may not work where you are, or maybe they do. Grindr, for example, may or may not be popular in your part of the world and perhaps a different app might be.

That being said, I don't think you're going to find many that don't have ads, don't have some subscription, catfishing, fake or inactive profiles, they're all to some extent stinkers. But, with patience, openness and common sense you can still find good folks on these apps.

If you are just looking for a quick hook up Grindr is great I’ve used it several times

Sadly Im not into quick hook ups. Lol. As much as possible I stay away from Grindr. I prefer planet romeo as its overall great than Grindr.

I don’t know what’s available there - but the one I’ve tried recently here in the UK is Hinge. Seems geared towards guys looking to actually date and meet.

Scruff for scruffy guys (bears, cubs, chubs, otters, daddies, etc)

Growlr also for bears and cubs.

Hornet and Grindr for general gay men.

Recon and Switched for fetish.

I don't have much experience with dating apps, they used to terrify me to be fair! I did meet my first boyfriend through Grindr though. Like @InbetweenDreams says, there are people looking for something more substantial even the apps with a stigma for being more right now.

Im currently using planet romeo. I think it’s much better there compared to grindr. Though who knows? Im just enjoying the app as some dating app aren’t available in Philippines
