Your experiences with poppers

THE  BACKSTORY

So once, many years ago, I tried poppers and I did not like it. I just ended up with a headache and it sort of ruined the experience. I hate headaches, they kill my ability to engage in or fully enjoy what I am doing.

THE CURRENT SITUATION

Recently I have met someone who has become a FWB. We are both Switches and take turns dominating each other. He loves being fed poppers. It makes him, as he puts it, "go silly" - he essentially melts into a total submissive headspace, relaxes, and is then even more susceptible to domination, mindfucking, and all the evil things I love doing to him (tickle-torturing, flogging, facefucking, making him worship my feet even though he does not like feet, etc.)

Now in the session where he dominated me, he took me to the sub headspace I have always wanted to go, and never been able to in the past. It was absolutely incredible and now I am craving submission again. And seeing the effect poppers have on him, I want to be fed them and made to "go silly" for him.

THE QUESTION

I have been told that there are different "qualities" of poppers. Some people have told me they get headaches from poppers. Others have told me that better quality poppers just give the right head rush and relax you.

What are YOUR experiences on poppers?

Sounds/reads hot. I have not used poppers in 40 years so I can't speak to the matter beyond the general science I've been taught, and that's definitely Debbie Downer territory so I'll let it go at that.

The last time I did poppers was more than 10 years ago, and it wasn't for sex. I enjoyed the high for sure, but I got dizzy pretty quick then a killer headache not long after. Decided it wasn't worth doing again.

I think the headache thing is quite a common side affect. It may be, given your experience in the past, something that you won't get the same pleasure as he does from.  But if you want to experiment I do believe there are many different variants, maybe try the same brand he does?

I've tried them a few times. Don't like the smell and the effects don't seem to do much for me in the bedroom. Plus, if you have any heart problems (or not) might be increasing the risk. Mixing shit like alcohol, other meds, etc can make it lethal. Personally, I'd rather smoke a joint, that does far more for me in the bedroom, but even then there's good and bad things to consider. Then again, different substances can affect people very differently.

Wow hearth problems. Never considered that. Though I suppose it makes sense. And I would not mix them anyway.

Yeah poppers work by relaxing your blood vessels, which lowers your BP, which is why it makes you flush and so forth. I also think a lot of people probably don't intend to mix things. You know, you're on a date, have a couple glasses of wine....hey want a popper?

Haha 90 minutes? The friend I mentioned in my OP, we play for about 5-7 hours.

Yeah that is a good point. You can flippantly forget you may have had some alcohol and then take something else.

Though apparently mixing poppers and viagra is a really bad idea.
