How to flirt being "str8"?

This is a hard one, at least for me!

I have discussed this with some people that are openly gay and they always say "You definitely can tell when someone IS GAY and IS flirting with you"...but I can´t! does any of you have this sixth sense and "just know"?

On the other side of the table it´s me COMPLETELY clueless on how to know if someone is into me or not. That is more complex and difficult being straight and people around you knowing that you are straight and have a family and all.

So, advise on how to turn on this "radar" How to approach a cute man and let him know (without specifics) that I am into him even though the ring on my hand?
