It's hard for me to meet people and when i do they usually back off because its very hard for me to show the emotions i feel. i've never actually been with guys and only online. although i have had experiences with my best friend which now i found out hes gay but ive moved.. I've joined my local lbgtq club and its pretty cool but i just sit there awkwardly. im just worried i don't fit in with queer people i guess. and im worried i won't ever meet someone.

i don't know what to do anymore.

How old are you?

Where are you located? It is great you have a local Queer club, so perhaps you are in a good location for that kind of thing?

How long have you been dealing with these issues?

What are your interests?

What happens at this Queer club?

I'm 20. Currently I'm in college plan to be out of here by 2028

I'm located in NC currently i go to Guilford college studying Comm. There is a small lbgtq club here and it helps a bit but its quite small.

I've been dealing with these issues all my life, growing up i was extremely smart just not socially.

My interests are art and technology most of the time.

The queer club is ok. Most people there are kind and its usually just us playing games or talking. Usually ice breaker type games. There is only about 5 people in the group though. Maybe more but i don't think they come in anymore.
The group does not have many rules and just the basic stuff. no transphobia, no homophobia, things of that nature.

So you have some diverse interests - reading, art, and technology. Do you want to turn any of those into something social? A book club? Galleries?
Perhaps you could look into Meetup.com to find social groups for your interests.

Are you receiving any professional help for your social anxiety and neurodivergence? Have you considered some mental health support?

How do you normally get on at the Queer group? How do you do in the ice breakers, and beyond?
You said you "just sit there awkwardly" - what does that mean? You don't participate?

What is the wider Queer scene like where you live? Any venues - bars, clubs, pride?
Beyond the Queer group you currently go to, what other experiences have you had in Queer spaces?

What is your ultimate goal or goals in this respect of challenging your anxiety? Friends? A partner/s? Sex? Something to do at the weekends?
