I try and give regularly to charity, I've recently been thinking about what charities I have given to in the past and what charities I might in the future. I realised that I would like to support gay rights organisations in other countries, particularly poorer ones. Does anyone have and idea what is the best way to do this?
Ideally, I could give a UK registered international charity that distributed money to various groups around the world. However as far as I am aware no such charity exists. I've looked at the websites of IGLHRC and IGLA, and they seem rather US based, I really want to support local activists, but perhaps I am being unfair. The other option I have thought of is scouring round the internet looking for websites of groups in different countries and trying to send them a cheque in the post, however that does not seem terribly efficient.
All thoughts and suggestions appreciated.
