Phobias anyone?

Sharks get a bad rap for no reason. I have lived in Myrtle Beach SC out on the coast for five years now. You are much more likely to drown in the the ocean and get dragged out to sea by a rip current than to get ate by a shark. We average five to ten drowning deaths around here each summer. I have only heard of one minor shark attack locally in my five years out on the coast.

I'm terrified of doctors. I'm uncomfortable with being touched, and I don't like being unclothed in front of people, so for me, a trip to the doctor takes a good week of mental preparation.

My other phobia is curb stomping. Ever since I learned about it, nothing has struck me as so terrifyingly horrible as getting curb stomped. Maybe it's because I need my mouth to make a living (not like that, I'm a brass player), but few things freak me out quite like that does.

I have fear of bad breath. I always make sure my breath doesn't smell when I talk to someone by chewing gum. I don't get too close to someone when talking unless I know that their breath doesn't smell. If I do smell bad breath I immediately back away but I try not to let the other person notice.

I'm completely afraid of mice. I can't even stand animals that look similar to them. Even when i see them on TV i get shivers. It took me forever to hold my hamsters when i was younger, i finally was able but if a mouse comes anywhere near me i have a complete panic attack.

I have a bad fear of heights. Put me even on the 3rd floor of a building looking down and I get all jittery. Strangely enough I have no problems flying or riding roller coasters. I guess it's all perspective or something.

I have the uncanny ability to run on water if I see an eel while snorkeling over reefs.

When i was small, every time my dad would bring out the ladder to get onto the roof i would climb up and run around, would scare the hell outta my dad. But that all changed when i nearly fell out of my tree house out on the balcony, was like a 20 foot fall. Thankfully the tree beneath caught me. Since then i still dont like heights that much.

believe it or not, i fear almost all types of bugs. Only ones i ever liked are ladybuds, pillbugs, caterpillers, butterflies, and fireflies.

Hardly ever liked being touched either... idk why but everytime someone would touch me me or hug me i would get tense as if waiting for an attack. Even when my parents would hug me it wold happen... and it still does despite the fact that i like hugs, i even give them out at times.

And i too fear crowds and crowded places. When i am in the middle of a crowd it feels like i am drowning and cannot get enough air... there are even times when it feels like i am being suffocated by a pillow. This is just one of the reasons i dont care for school

Heights is the big one for me. But only if I don't have something to hold onto. You can put me on a cliff put I wont go near the edge if there isn't a railing for me to hold onto. Other than that, spider & snakes.

The last fear is called agoraphobia. You should try to see a therapist about it, maybe. It'll make your like a whole lot easier if you come to terms with it.
