Erotic Gay Stories

I think that this kind of erotic and veeery romantic stories is something very important to me. It was also essential to the development of my gay addiction. So, I decided to share a couple of words and thoughts about it here.

Well, true, there definitely are awfully written stories that include only sex and some pathetic attempts for love to be shown. I probably shouldn't be talking that sharply about them because we all have our tastes in what we like to read and they are different.

Then, there are the "average class" stories that are pretty good (according to my taste). They have love, they have sex...they just need a little more work on the style.

And here come the marvelous, tremendously brilliant stories with lots of feelings, romance, nice lines and good sex. I find them on nifty and they just...I fall in love with the characters. Like, totally. And the story is beautiful and realistic. Well, ok, it's a bit too romantic at places - things probably wouldn't be that way in real life, but..Its overwhelmingly nice.

What do you think about erotic stories? Have you ever done any attempts at writing such stories?

I really enjoy erotic stories. I've never attempted to write one but I enjoy reading them. I don't masturbate to them like I do to visual porn though. It's a different type of eroticism.

They can be very hit and miss for me. Mostly miss, I'm afraid. I think if I can identify with the characters or the situation then it does more for me. Some are just a bit odd (I read one where the white home owner ends up bottoming for the black guy who's there to fix his roof on a hot day) and I just can't get into it at all. (e.g. that last one, if it wasn't on the roof of the house it would have made a lot more sense to me. As it was, it just seems too implausable)

I kind of half started one once. But, I just didn't know where I wanted it to go, or how to get smoothly from where I'd started to wehre I wanted it to finish. Maybe if I try again, I'll try and plan it out better.

Just seeing the subject brings back memories from years ago (and i'm really gonna show that
i'm getting old here LOL) back then there really was no web but you could use a dial-up modem to
connect to local BBS's (Bulliton Board Systems) {LOL anyone bemember those ? }

A couple of the ones i used gave access to usenet/newsgroups (an early part of the internet where
people could post messages...sorta like forums) there's probably a group for any subject you could
think of, but as far as "adult stuff" first I found the group 'alt.sex.stories' then eventually
'alt.sex.stories.gay '
Since the BBS's were free services you'd only get 30 to 60 minutes/day & the better ones were
busy... i'd go on those groups & the modem software i used had a function that would allow you to
save a log of whatever text was displayed on the screen (remember this was pre-windows time
hock: everything was DOS/text based)...Anyway I'd view/save as many 'stories' as i could in that
limited time, then read them offline

I wasted allot of time with that stuff LOL

I checked 'alt.sex.stories.gay' tonight - something i haven't done in a long time...sadly it appears to
be mostly junk/spam posted there now.

I had, or rather have, the same problem. I had this idea in my mind and tried to write a proper beginning to it, but the words just all seemed so...pathetic and not what I wanted to say. And then I asked a friend of mine for advice, and he said "Write whatever you have in your mind; write it the way it comes to you. You'll make the connections and transitions later, when you have gotten everything out." SO I think that maybe you shouldn't plan it in advance, but just sit and write. Once you get into it, the words won't stop coming out. Or at least I think so.

Nifty is a FANTASTIC site! I'm in love with the stories of an author there (Josh Btomandback and Jack Edwards - same person). Do you have a favorite story/author there? I'm trying to be more open and not read only Josh's stories lol.

By the way, right now I have a problem with this falling in love with stories...I got so much into the one that I'm reading right now (over 56 parts) that the depression hit me because things aren't going right between the two guys. I really wish there was someone else who has read that particular story who I can share thoughts with. Oh, well..

I visit the gay stories on Nifty quite often. Of course the writing is of variable quality, but the amount of poor writing makes the occasional well-constructed piece a real gem. Is it weird that I cannot bring myself to check out some of the sub-sections?

I've sometimes wondered whether I could write an erotic story but, much as I enjoy writing, I'm not sure if I could.

I find it difficult to find specific stories on Nifty. A search facility would not go amiss. Which one are you talking about and where is it? I quite like David's Initiation, although it would be twice as good at half the length.
