Question... :/
#1
Well I've had a skin condition for like 5 years, and It's been impossible for me to fix it, I've tried just about everything. Well what if you've been dating a guy for awhile and when you decide to have sex, you see acne on his butt, and in between his legs and in his armpits. How would you react, and feel about this? Sad *Honestly

It depends on how bad they look on the body. Just one or two pumps wouldn't be a matter with me.

You can try fasting on raw vegetable and fruit for one week to see if your skin condition is relieved

Good luck Wink

So you think that could work even though I've had it for so long? and it's severe, not like 1 or 2. :/

Anon, you say it cant be fixed - has a skin specialist told you this? It doesnt sound like something that couldnt be fixed, or at least improved.

I used to have rashes all over my body, very itchy and look ugly. I was very shy to hang out with others including my friends. I went to see the doctor, he said I had allergy, gave some pills and asked me to come back again. It did cure my rashes. But when I stopped the pills, the rashes came back again. I went to see the doctor again, he gave me the same pills but in greater dose. It did help. But the rashes still come back after I stopped taking the pills. I was very frustrated and worried and disappointed by the doctor. So I decided not to take any more pills for a while. The rashes just went away eventually.

Later I discovered from some books that rashes or acnes and some other symptoms related to the skin is just a way my body tries to detoxify when it is overloaded by toxin. I used to have a sedentary lifestyle (not enough perspiration to throw off toxin via sweat) and barely ate vegetable and fruits. I was also addicted to table salt. I always had it with fruits.

I tried to eat only vegetable + fruit + rice recently. My face was very clean. When I ate rice + oily fried vegetable in greater quantity, my face started to have acnes. So I think starch and/or cooking oil may be the culprit

I understand exactly where you are coming from . I developed a skin condition when i was 7 and had it for 31 yrs ( psoriasis ) was completely covered in it , went on new medication last year and now 100% clear . Having a skin condition affects how you percieve yourself and you worry about meeting someone who will accept you for who you are and not how your skin looks . It was one of the main reasons why I kept in the closet for so many years . I felt that women would be far more accepting than guys . Also I was worried that people may have thought that it was AIDS related . I got some brilliant support from an online forum that I belong to and there are loads of gay guys in the same position , you are not alone.

I dont know what condition you have , but i would suggest getting a referal and seeing a dermatologist who will go through a range of treatments . A healthy lifestyle helps , but for me it certainly wasn't a cure ( if only it were so simple)

I'm making the most of the respite I have for my condition and pray it lasts and the medication continues to work . Message me if you would like some extra support . Take care buddy and I hope you find somthing that works for you

You've had some good advice. Sounds like you need to go to GP and if he can't fix it to a dermatologist. I have skin problems in the summer - it gets very hot here. E45 cream sorts me out and can be got from the chemist over the counter (no prescription). It may be worth a try. I can't get it here in Spain but Gibraltar is only an hour's drive. I find if I scratch my problem gets much worse. Your problem could be stress-related too. Stress (exams, interviews, relationship problems) frequently gives me skin problems.

I, too, battle with a skin problem. I became quite down when I kept going back to the doctor over two or three years and he would try some new treatment that didn't work. Eventually I saw a different doctor in the practice and he decided to refer me to the consultant dermatologist at the local hospital. She was wonderful, very kind and very clear when she explained that I had a mixture of acne rosacea and seborrheic dermatitis. I burst into tears when she told me she could clear me up.

GPs may be brilliant diagnosticians, or not, but they are unlikely to be specialists in skin complaints beyond the everyday. See if you can get a referral.

Very best of luck to you. Skin problems can be very depressing.

Explain to him about it, he should understand. I think if you didn't tell him and he just found out when your clothes came off it would be a little freaky. Tell him about it and how much you've struggled to get rid of it. If he's the one for you then he'll understand.
