Long ago, I looked into your azure eyes
That sparkled like stars decorated by the moon.
I looked deep into your soul and swore beside you
That my heart wouldn't get in the way.
That promise became blurry and soon vanished.

I still wonder if love is a beautiful strength
Or, an overwhelming weakness.
Tears never stung violently until the first time
You walked away.

I'll leave a clear and beautiful path
So that you may someday return to eternal warmth
I guarantee that you are part of me forever
My heart needs you

Long ago you said you loved me gently
With a felicitating and genuine smile.
You looked deep into my earth colored eyes
And swore you were here for me always.

I still question what you really wanted
To become of our fateful bond and, love.
I never knew an incomplete feeling
Until I watched you disappear into the haze.

(*) I'll leave a clear and heart-felt path
So that you may someday return to eternal adoration
I know we are closely connected forever
It's inseparable.

I'll leave a clear and beautiful path
So that you may someday return to eternal warmth
So I say with my half of our heart
"You see? I love you"

Yes. It was just rather complicating because I have only been IN love once and so that's where I was going with that. Nearly 3/4 of my writings are about this one person in particular. Lol.

You're not familiar with the early songs of Al Stewart, by any chance? Those songs all seemed to be about one affair that ended badly ... unless he was very unlucky! Still, he managed several albums of material about it Wink

I haven't heard of him before but, I will definitely look him up. Smile

My main inspiration is a Japanese Artist honestly. Her music got me to start writing. Her lyrics are phonominal.
