Judge Walker's comments were very heartening to read. I believe though that the lifting of Proposition 8 was only intended to be in effect till Friday?

Marshlander, it is not in the least surprising that the effects are short lived, as it was the full intention of both sides of the litigation to pursue the case to the ninth district court and then, in all likely hood, to the Supreme Court. There will probably not be anything permanent until after the Supreme Court ruling.
