no I do not know off hand what a sangoma is...but I won't be googling it cause I bet it's some sort of "witch doctor" or whatever and I'm utterly uninterested in these ye old supersticious bullcrap from anywhere in the world...ugh...

now, soap is merely saponified fat.

Saponification is the hydrolisis of triglicerids in the presence of a strong base, wich creates free fatty acids in sodium salt form.

these fatty acids have a hydrophilic carboxyl group and a hydrophobic hydrocarbur chain, so they have the property of hydrophobic interactions with filth, and trapping then on mycelles, while at the same time interacting with water...this means that it makes filth soluble and so it can be removed..

Now bleach is a solution of 5% (I think) of Sodium Hypochlorite, which is a strong oxidizing agent...this uber oxidizing property makes up for it's disinfectant property and also in stain removal, cause oxidation of molecules in stains means to add oxygen atoms to the molecules and polar bonds will form, because oxygen is highly electronegative..

the polar bonds will allow the molecule to interact with water and become soluble, thus, removing the stain
