as much as i would hate to say this but i think it's best to leave the two alone. the last thing i want is to be in between of some family issues. no matter how you love the guy, if the parent is not up for it (and the guy is very much dependent on his parent), i see no good in continuing the relationship. Unless you're willing to make sacrifices then you can continue being with him and feel the wrath or meanness of his mother.
