ESPN's ranking of the most difficult sports
#1
ESPN has had a ranking up of the most difficult, demanding sports. Take a look; I'd say it's pretty accurate, but there's always going to be someone that is mad that their precious sport isn't ranked higher. Tongue

ESPN.com: Page 2 - Sport Skills Difficulty Rankings

Two funny stories:

1. My old roommate used to brag about how hard fishing was.... after one of our conversations, we stumbled upon this list. Take a look at its ranking!!

2. My boyfriend is a horse rider (jumping) and ALWAYS claims it is the most difficult sport in the world. One day I told him i'd look at the ranking. As I scrolled and scrolled through the sports, I told him... "oh, i don't think it's listed for some reason." But sure enough, there it was at 7 from the bottom. roflllllllll

needless to say, both of these guys were certain that these "experts" were bogus and didn't know "true" sportTongue

Where does your sport rank?

I don't know what the most difficult sport is, but I'd agree that the individual sports are more difficult than the team sports, as you have no one to rely on but yourself.

One of my kids has taken up kick-boxing. He has had a couple of fights now and says he has never experienced such a great feeling as being in the ring. He said he was completely unprepared for the incredible rush of emotions when he had his first fight. He lost that one and I was there to see it. Not much as awful as seeing your own child being beaten and kicked Sad He won the second fight against an older heavier man, so that gave him more confidence. I have always been against violent contact sport and was not entertained as such, but I had to admire the courage and determination of people who put themselves through all this and the dedication to preparation. Just because I wouldn't want to do it doesn't mean I have the right to decide what gives the participants their kicks.

well, sometimes, people tend to forget that no matter how something is being staged, if it's violent, it's still violence.
