Hello. I'm Waylon. I'm Chinese, but speak Japanese(lol ca't speak Chinese).:tongue: I'm a freshman at University of Waterloo in Canada. Currently in Chatham because of coop internship as a mechatronics engineer.(Damn I got stuck in a officejob...) Recently came out to my parents few weeks ago. Hello and welcome. I still found that confusing since the place we in the UK know as Chatham is also in Kent (the "Garden of England") and has had many hundreds of years association with ships and marine engineering - even if that all changed when the Royal Navy pulled out in 1984.

I'm no expert in history, but Canada takes a lot of city names from England. Like Waterloo, London, Chatham.. etc.
