Hi my name is Ally. I won't faff around to much I have a question.

I would like to know your opinions on homaphobia because I just don't get it! I don't know any gay people to ask but I have met many people that have been disgusted by same sex relationships. I do not understand the disgust. I wondered if its because homophobes can't think of anything better to do. i am baffled by homophobia can someone please explain it?

Hi Ally.
That is a REALLY multifaceted question. To properly reply to the question would result in a post many pages long. I suggest you look up homophobia on Wiki. There is a very well cited article there that includes religious and state sponsered homophobia, etymology of the word itself, historical reference to homophobia, and the interconnectedness of homophobic practices on an international level.
