Hello There,
Many congratulations on being able to get a transpher to brighton from your showroom your based in.... I thought i would fill in the blanks the estate agents dont want you to know...
Flat 1,
West street is one of the busiest areas within the Brighton and Hove district however nothing about the area is gay because it is the hetrosexual stretch... This would mean that if you lived in this street you may encounter the street lined with police officers and riot vans every friday and saturday night as the party goers come to town for the weekend.. One of brightons most popular clubs tru is based just down from where that flat is.. You will find from time to time that the noise may drive you nuts but if your able to cope with that and people possibly urinating up the side of where you live then you should be alright... If you were planning on being all holding hands moments with your new fella i wouldn t recommend this flat purely for the fact you get locals and non locals in this street which they class as theirs more than anyone elses purely because of the level of moments that occur.. If you have people to visit the road outside is like a red route due to the numerous loading ban restrictions in place from the Clock tower right down to the seafront so if any guests wish to drive to visit yourselves you will need to either compound them inside OR use the 24 hour car park oppisite (churchill square((CHSQ)) )
Flat 2,
Sydney street is located right at the back of the North Laines Brighton.. During the day it is a easy kind of street with occassional traffic flowing through a one way street (north to south) which is ment to not have any traffic driving down it (I ignore this rule everyday and use this road to drive to work).. It is located within the control parking zone and guests coming to visit who drive would either use Pay and display bays in the area, Blackman street car park or if after six the single yellow lines however these are NOT free on sundays... Failing this you always have the hanover ward otherside of the A23/27 where it is free parking... Good luck finding a space.. During the evening this street is massively quieter than west street and noise wise i would imagen from doing top gun at work on fri and saturday nights not much happens... Tourists mainly stick to the south laines... Some shops in the area sell alot of shit whereas others it can be just plain wierd... Only downfall is that you have city college at the end of your road... Dominoes pizza is also just around the corner at the end of trafalgar street...
Flat 3,
Leopold road is a very very quiet residential area near the former childrens hospital.. Walkwise into town its not too bad and if you drive and willing to buy a permit your be alright otherwise it would be a massive walk up a hill (regardless where you choose to park) to get home.. Most of the houses if not all are converted into 3 or 4 flats and furthermore at night this area is very very quiet.... Not completely silent but very quiet...
Flat 4,
Properties on the seafront are and always have been expensive... Did you know that to paint one of those buildings every year costs the owners £3,500 minimum??? This is due to the fact that the salt air from the sea is causing the paint to corrode at excess rate... Or its because they got more money than sense and can charge stupid prices.... Only downfall with the seafront... If you drive in a city like this which attracts a minimum of 8 MILLION visitors (Yes 8 million visitors) a year your feel like london in the summer as you drive endlessly looking for a space... Take it from me as a traffic warden in brighton and Hove... Your either A, Not move your car or B, Make sure your done and dusted by 9.30am 10am LATEST! With regards to the price some landlords charge maintainance on the property and living in well to do areas such as the seafront you may find council tax alot higher as well
Flat 5,
Fourth avenue in hove is a nice little quiet area... Very wide road built in the days of obeese horses so i would imagen thats why... It is within walking reach of many shops the beach and the king alfred lesiure centre.. In the next avenue or two to the east of fourth avenue you have the council offices for hove locarted so any issues can go directly to Kings house.. It is an ideal place for quietness
And on a final note.... Hope you love living here in Brighton and Hove.... As a true brightonian to this town ill let you have the title Brighton boy
Just not brightonian lol Thats my title!!! lol.. If you need to sort stuff out and not got alot of cash... Why not visit yahoo groups and search for a group called Freecycle or try greencyclesussex.. Its easy all you do is put a wanted/offered advert for example
