She just released her new album last week and I am addicted to it. Bought the vinyl the day it came out, I'm so in love with it. Even better than her debut, which was shocking.
It's really good and really emotional and deals primarily with teenage angst, insecurity, female sexuality and sexual exploitation. As if this wasn't horrifying in itself, one of the songs uses an actual recording of a 911 call where a man is trying to break into the house of a woman. Hearing the lyrics delivered in the singer's usual, fragile voice over hysterical screams of "Who are you!?" and "what do you want?" plus crying is... terrifying... :c This album is making me emotional.
