Oh by the way, how I came to Saturday Night Fever:

Was listening to the radio. They played a nice song by Leslie Feist from the film PARIS... so I looked it up because I didn't know who sang it in spite of having heard it many times before.

From there I came across a song of hers written by the Bee Gees in 1979 and naturally, from Bee Gees went to SNF.

What an interesting singer this Leslie Feist is.

What's going on here? The last few posts have all referred to music I bought when I were a lad! (Except Saturday Night Fever, I didn't buy that ... and I didn't buy Hold Tight, but I did buy The Legend of Xanadu when I was about 12. It must have been Dave Dee in leather cracking a whip on Top of the Pops ). Must find a way of listening to my vinyl albums again. I used to love "Southern Accents".

Isn't it about time you youngsters celebrated more what's happening now? Please don't tell me there's nothing new happening that's any good.

There isn't anything around these days that is as special as The Beatles, Tom Petty, Nirvana etc - nothing that I hear on the radio, or see on the TV that takes my breath away like the classics. Sigh.
