dudewithabeard Wrote:So you were serious about Skrillex? He is pretty hard-core. However he looks like Corey Feldman trying to be cool goth. Hahaha, had no idea. But yeah, I've listened to a fair bit of both and loving the energy of them.

There's only a couple of stores in Van that still sell such things (vinyl might be more popular in some circles now, lol). Even the used CD stores have all closed down.

After having a garage sale and trying to get rid of a bunch of CDs, many did not sell. There is a used vinyl store in the area, but they won't take CDs. We tried to give them to Goodwill and to a local church thrift shop, but they both told us they do not take them anymore because nobody will buy them and they end up throwing them away.

Yeah, I'd be more interested in tiling a ceiling with them at this point, lol. What an amazing amount of garbage they must all amount to --and pretty much thoroughly non-recyclable considering how they're made.
I've saved a couple of dozen of them, but they're all signed (Soundgarden, Nickelback, George Clinton, Marilyn Manson, Tool, Chemical Brothers, Garbage....and pretty much every other band that came through Vancouver in the mid-90s, lol). And even those aren't on display anymore.
