What is a station's substation?

If you have iTunes radio there are some fantastic music being played.

Not sure what kind of internet speed one needs...

This one has been my fav for a while now and they have their own site: www.bonglounge.com.

I'll do my best to explain LOL
'substation' probably isn't the right word...but i don't know what else to call it
If you listen to normal FM radio, you've probably heard stations mention
'HD Radio' (which is not High Def Radio as many falsely call it)...
A station has its normal Analog FM signal that any radio can pick up.
The HD Allows a FM station to broadcast in Digital (Basically MP3/MP4 type
format and quality)...They can have their main channel then multiple
sub-channels -or- HD-x (where x is a number) channels -or- sub-stations
LOL they usually call it HD-1 HD-2 HD-3 ('1' would be the main channel the
others ofcourse being sub-channels... up to 8. Most only have a couple
because each additional means they have to lower the bitrate/quality for
bandwith reasons)
Can be picked up free off the air with a HD Tuner.
And yep it sounds just like a MP3 does

Not exactly, let me see if I can explain lol

iTunes is now an app that runs on Macs and PCs. It has been used for those things called iPods for some time on both platforms.

When you use iTunes you can use the store where most tunes are charged for but there are also many many many freebies for the Touch and iPhone (maybe other iPods but not sure). I think that PodCasts are usually free and the Radio is free. ***I am sure there is a way to record the Radio programs but I dont know of one Pray

UGH, sorry. That link should read: BONGOLOUNGE.COM Your Internet Nightclub. NOT bong - and NO, I have not been smoking from one Bunny2

and ya dont even need iTunes as the site is playing tunes and has a couple free downloads.

Yep..i knew there was a windows ver (but its XP or above only.. i have 98)
Plus i don't have an iPod...when i think iTunes i think 2 things: "iPod" and
their thingie that wants to charge for audio files. (although i now sorta do
remember somwhere reading/hearing about the free internet 'radio' it has)
LOL
And as for recording the 'radio' programs...that ofcourse can be done
(maybe not directly through the iTunes program) but it can be done none
the less Confusedmile: weather or not there's any sorta protection on the audio
data stream Firedevil
