why cant they just bite the bullet n get back together...would make millions
,
got some shows form early 80's that are pure rock n roll. amazing concerts Smile

Because of Axel.
He stole the brand and brought out the piece o' shit chinese democracy with a rebranded guns n' roses called GNR.
But yeah Axel was a complete arse wipe, can't blame the band for going their separate ways and I wouldn't pay to see them life how ever much i love their albums.

This wonderful slice of perfection has just come up on Spotify and I was taken straight back to when I first bought the album, "Unhalfbricking", in 1969. This is one of my favourite songs of all time. Over the years I must have listened to this song hundreds of times, often just playing it back-to-back. I've had to listen to it twice before I could make myself post this message. Sadly it's not just the lyrics that are tragic, but the album was released in tragic circumstances. Two months before its release the band's Transit van rolled on the M1 as they approached London after a gig in Birmingham killing drummer, Martin Lamble and guitarist, Richard Thompson's girlfriend, Jeannie Franklin.

Sandy Denny, Richard Thompson, Dave Swarbrick, Martin Lamble, Simon Nicol and Ashley Hutchings. This You Tube joins the song about 3 minutes in. I hope someone enjoys it. I'm in a state of bliss Rainote

Have been listening to a lot of new classical stuff (well, when I say new, I mean newly released because the music is obviously NOT new...) Mendelssohn seems to be a favourite of mine at the moment along with Schubert and Haydn and Haendel... wonderful stuff...

Nice song from Fairport Convention, Marsh, honey. Herz

Great choice! Dance I came this close to buying a newish Wayne Kramer cd from the market the other day. Still wondering whether I should try and get a ticket for Iggy and the Stooges ...

ps 1972 was not a good year for the MC5. What do you think of ?
