the lyrics are so touching and they are based form the drummers past drug expierience with his mother - its an emotional roller coaster of a song, but i love it

Hate Me reminded me of a song that one of my kids used to reach out to me a few years ago. He'd been away for a couple of years and came back to find his family falling apart. Hard as he tried he could barely talk to me and could only ever look at me with the deepest contempt. He went to stay with his brother in the USA for three months and when he came back he gave me a cd with this song as we got into the car at the airport. I could not avoid shedding a few tears as I listened to the words. It was wonderful to have him back.
