What music are you listening to?
Great arrangement, especially the way the drum steps in and out of the picture BUT (as is too often the case on Youtube etc) the treble is missing in action.
Thanks for introducing him, I’m very impressed by some of his other tracks I’ve just discovered.

But what’s the cost? I’m one of those old fogies who sticks as far as possible to physical media when it comes to my music collection (11,756 approx LPs - 2,000 cds and god knowns how many SACD’s) I have a few high resolution downloads but I’m paranoid about losing them. I lost all mine last year when a 2000volt line fell onto the local 240volt supply and destroyed more gear than I care to remember, digital backups included.
Besides I’m one of those weird eccentrics who gets an irrational (?) amount of enjoyment running my LP’s over a vacuum cleaning machine and then onto my turntable as SOTA direct drive. If I encounter something I enjoy on line I’ll put a lot of effort into acquiring a physical copy of it. Makes up dating my insurance policy a headache - the insurance company demands I list every single LP given I’m sitting on some LP’s worth silly money such as the original Beatles ‘White Album’ in mint condition etc

It's all good Karl. I totally understand and respect your view for you. I was talking about me. Heart  I LOVE the convenience and now the quality of streaming my custom playlists. I gave all my vinyl, 8 tracks, cassettes and CDs to my daughter and will never look back. At what cost? Who cares? Pffffft I've EARNED my preference. Cool That's one HOT turntable btw!!! Shy

8 Tracks ! EEK ! When they were around I didn’t drive a car so never used them. I still play cassettes on my ancient Nakamichi ‘Dragon’ 30 years later tapes I made on metal oxide still sound amazing. Recently I embarassed a few audiophiles by fooling them they were listening to CD when in fact it was the old Dragon tickling their ears. Had it serviced recenly by the only person left in Australia willing to tackle one of the old beasts. It’s a measure of how mad I am but my will dictates I’m to be burried with it.

Can’t remember if I’ve posted this here before but it’s one I keep coming back to. A repressed fantasy?

I love a passionate audiophool! LMBO
I used a reel to reel in the 70s and 80s and it was so much fun.
The 8 tracks are 80 minutes of solid auto repeat and my daughter is quite the talk of her tribe for having a working player and very nice collection of tapes. Makes my heart smile real warm-like. Angel

I try not to remember my Revox reel to reel deck. It was stolen along with a collection of rare US blues privately made tapes with the entire contents of my house. I’d moved in on the saturday and forget to transfer the insurance so lost everything. Took me a long time to recover. On it’s slow speed with good tape that Revox would still be state of the art.
