Hi,
I was having a think and figured it might be worth other than gayspeak to mention a site that you find extremely useful and why... Just a bit of exploration on the web really... I have often found myself stuck to same old sites GS, facebook, email usually... But for quite sometime now ive been a member of a yahoo group known as freecycle... This group started off in Brighton - UK but now has widen its horizons worldwide and it is about encouraging people to recycle their old crap in a way which someone can make use of it...
I have found it useful for helping people who have moved into new homes and given them stuff like pots n pans, cutlery, etc.. My greatest moment on that site was a woman put an advert on after her husband had left her and taken all the furniture leaving her and her children with nothing so she had to start again... I emailed her and gave her my £120 dining table accompanied with four chairs as it served no use to me and was collecting dust... I have just emailed a guy through that site whos house was destroyed by fire and his son lost his playstation 2 so ive told him if he wants he can take my ps1 and any games out of my 100 selection to give to his son...
I see this as a karma retrospective as i'd like to prepare my karma in the event i am ever god forbidden put in that situation... If I am not im sure karma would pay me back in another way.... I have however beaten other people to various things such as 3 working PC'S, loads of paint for decorating my home, tools for the car, and so on...
To find the link just search freecycle in yahoo groups and then select your domain and emails are sent automatically when a moderator updates the site which occurs about six to twenty times a day...
So whats your nominated/recommended site and why?
