Thousands of young males now regularly videotape themselves and others engaging in what the Koran calls carnal acts of lust between men. These kids do it for fun. They appear to be very nervous. They giggle as they watch each other perform. Someone then clicks POST and videos or photographs are uploaded to internet for the viewing pleasure of all 6 billion people on planet. These kids receive no payment of any kind from the owners of the porn sites. The materials uploaded are all signed with the email address of the person uploading. In the United States, the FBI monitors all these sites for compliance with all aspects of Title 18.

My first question is simple. How do these young men plan to deal with their responsibility for the balance of their life. How will they explain to recruiters, admissions officers, grant bestowers or other persons capable of ruining their career choice. No young man who participates will ever be considered for public office, He will not be vetted by media, he will be cannibalized by them.

Second question is to gay men. Is it a felony to view these sites uder Title !8? They have received no compensation.

Whether you warn them or not they arent going to care. The kind of people who make and post these videos are doing it for fun. The few who are capable of understanding the consequences will stop of course though it will be too late. Many however really just dont care. to them it feels good, so they are going to keep doing it.

Of course when it gets to a point that they start noticing the problems it will be too late, but again, they got to that point themselves and we can only try to help them get past whatever went wrong.

Aside from shutting down the internet theres really not much more that can be done.

And I have no problem discussing gay sex acts in front of family, its a great way to mortify my mother when she's being a bitch. Although, my brother is the one most likely to be vulgar at family gatherings, I try to comport myself in a more refined manner.

My brother was long involved in the porn industry as a web master and marketing consultant. I wonder if your experience of women (how did we get on to this subject from where we started?) is deeply rooted in the culture of a certain time and place? I think younger women are more open to discussion about sexual matters, but I shall own up to being ambivalent about whether I would even want to get into those kinds of discussions.

I would dispute the fact that women have never protested against men's war-mongering. For many years in England the women's camp at Greenham Common airbase was the focus for the anti-nuclear movement in the UK.

I don't know if it is possible to generalise about women manipulating men into violent acts from a safe distance. Go into town on a Friday night and there are plenty of women scrapping in the street too ... or is that just where I live?
