When ever someone says that someone "looks great for their age" it implies that they are old & typically people that old don't look that good, so you are surprised at how well he looks for someone of such advanced years should look. Wait until you get up in your late 30's & older. See how you feel about people saying things like "looks good for his age". Now if that guy was in his 70's to 90's, THEN is when I think it would be proper to say he looks good for his age. A HUGE number of guys in their late 40's through 60's look just as good as that man does, so it shouldn't be surprising that he would. Men get MUCH better looking with age!!!!

Age is relative, and myapple is still young. He meant it as a compliment and I would not have guessed him to be that age, so he does look good for his age. FYI people tend to judge me at 30-ish, so I look bad for my age .
