I'd say ask him if he wants to catch a movie or get coffee or something. It doesn't sound like you have enough information yet. If he's gay and wants you, he seems to move pretty fast. If you can get some alone time with him, a movie or casual man-date sort of thing, nothing serious, maybe he will open up a little bit or do something that makes his stance more clear. And if it turns out to be all in your head, then you've made friends with a really nice straight guy, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I was thinking of inviting him out to a party but whenever i text him, from his replies, i feel like im just annoying him. Im just hoping we coincidentally decide to go to the same events and see whats happening from there.

Aside from the masturbating thing and getting my number, he hasnt made any other move. I mean, i showed him that i like him enough to make him hang out with my friends when he had no one to stay with (we're quite selective of our friends, as bad as that sounds) and i try to plan stuff with him through texts but he hasnt responded in a way that implies the hes interested. Im really just brushing thoughts of him away now and going along with my life.
