How do I get over him?

I'm a married guy who has been in a gay relationship with another married guy for the last 6 years. He was the first guy i ever fell for and I fell head over heels in love with him. He often said he loved me too but out of the blue he's ended our relationship to move in with a guy he's been seeing for the last 9 months. My world has fallen apart and I don't know how to get over him. The thought of loosing him completely hurts real bad, and he's said that he wants to stay friends as we were so good together and had so many lafs. I want to try but don't know if I can handle it. Does anyone have any advice on how to stay friends with someone who used to be your lover?

i can only imagine what you going through, i never been in the same situation but i hope this helps just try to have some time with yourself, do the things you like to do, time will heal your wounds eventually but honestly it will be hard and scary so stay strong. when your ready just look for a new partner.

talking with someone about it helps too, so if you have close friends you can lean on and ofcourse this forum. i hpe that helps, pls wait for the others response, im sure they will help alot
