It's simple in most places where marxist revolution spread, after WWI, a reign of red terror started...violence soon took over to keep the revolution "safe" from conservative forces, and once Stalin took power, he purged his party and the Army, enforced collectivization of agriculture, forcing the rich land tenant social class to disappear, and then industrialized the country at the expense of the labor force..
in response, the counter revolution took paramilitary forces, the brown shirts in Italy, the Freikorps and later the SA in Germany to exert violence against revolutionaires so the Russian example was not repeated...this was the White counter revolution against the Red revolution...
so I ask again...Red Terror or White Terror?
