Do you ever write poetry?

I used to do alot of word play and poetry in early highschool and kinda miss it.

I was thinking of what to put in my facebook status and just started typing

this is what I came up with:

I can be any color I want to, when I'm holding your hand.
Another empty coloring book, that just needs some crayons.
Looking for someone who can stay in the lines.
But if you go out a little I don't think ill mind.
I like all kinds of colors, Green, yellow, red, & blue.
Just searching for an artist could it be you?
So give me a chance and fill in some pages.
We'll be picture perfect and together for ages.

Lol nothing to special but I thought it was witty!!

I find it helpful when each author/poet keeps a thread of their own in that forum rather than post every new creation as a new thread.

Edit: I write poetry occasionally, but I'm not good at it, and I take poetry too seriously to broadcast my weak efforts too often.

I have about 50 poems saved on my computer, and I've shared them with a few people. They seem to think I should try to get them published. I think they're just being kind. LOL

There is the Writer's Corner social group too, although its pretty sparse, I've never posted in it since I joined it, perhaps we should utilise it abit more :biggrin:
