After 65 years of erections i was at a loss to come up with more than the reasons I thought of. I know I've had over half million erections in that period of time. The next time I see her I would like to give an extensive long list of why guys get erections. With a little luck I would like to meet this priest and suggest that he try removing his head from his ass.:mad:

To Zophia I say thank you. Before your post I thought women only had sexual arousal of clitoris. I almost made the same mistake as my friend.

To everyone else, thanks for putting me wise. I thought Catholics only ordained pedophiles. Since everything they talk about at her women's group is male sexual energy they must be ordaining heterosexuals these days. I have a medical condition that causes erections.

Not to get into TMI area, but since it's on topic.....

I woke up once in the middle of the night, with sharp pains in my rectum. I thought perhaps it was a constipation pain, and went to try to use the bathroom. After a few minutes of not doing anything, I got up to go back to bed, and in the hallway got dizzy and passed out. I woke up a few minutes later on the floor.

I remember thinking: "This isn't normal.....see a doctor."

Before I was able to make the appointment, I had a second episode. The pains are a sharp, stabbing pain in the rectum. Remembering that I passed out last time, I refused to get out of bed. However, this time I noticed that I had a strong erection going on as well....and I thought, "Ok, there has to be a connection somewhere."

The next day I went to Google, and tried to figure out how to search this without getting a million porn site hits. I searched "anal cramp" and found information on a condtion called "Proctalgia Fugax".

Proctalgia fugax (or levator syndrome) is a severe, episodic, rectal and sacrococcygeal pain. It can be caused by cramp of the pubococcygeus or levator ani muscles.

It most often occurs in the middle of the night and can last from a few seconds to several minutes

During an episode, the patient feels spasm-like, sometimes excruciating, pain in the anus, often misinterpreted as a need to defecate. Dizzy spells can occur, and simultaneous stimulation of the local autonomic system can cause erection in males.

Not long ago, I made some changes to my diet, and decided to add extra fiber to my diet, so I started taking Metamucil. I've been using it for the past 8 months, and the episodes have stopped.
