how out are you
#11
I am truthful from where I am from, Eskilstuna, 30 min drive south from Västerås, 1 hour drive west from Stockholm, 2 hour drive east from örebro.

We are a pretty medium large town, so it would hard to spot exactly who I am out of 60 tousand peps, but I'm very secure with deleting all personal data after being on gay sites and porn.

I'm only out to one of my friends, who i had spoke very little from after I cleared it all out, 2 times max on 1 or 2 months maybe

I come across as fairly masculine, not camp at all, which kind of annoys me, because I'd like people to know I'm gay. I get tired of saying it. I say it everywhere, to everyone, anytime the subject comes up.

And I have seriously considered having the following slogans printed on a T-shirt.

I am so gay.

and

Sodomite. (with written underneath)
It's a brand.

I put Brighton because it is my nearest city. I live about 10/15 miles away, but go to brighton every few days or so. I set it as brighton cause I thought people would have heard of it so they can sort of pinpoint where you are.

Maybe it's a generational thing but I was told by my parents when I was first given a computer/internet privilege what was acceptable and what was not. I've also had countless "social media safety" stuff in high school, and even in a college orientation class.

Why should I do something that goes against my need to feel safe to satisfy your curiosity? Rolleyes

It takes time for some of us to build up trust and friendships. Besides, the more I get pushed the more I don't budge. Have a great day!

Because with my city and name you can easily find me...and I've dealt with internet crazies before. If you really want to know...get to know me in PMs first.

I understand peoples needs for privacy, and it is so easy to find people these days. Even though we don't use real names in our screen names, it is pretty easy if you dig deep enough to link this account with various others on the internet. I use my screen name in one form or another everywhere I go, usually with a photo, so if you took that information and searched Facebook you could find me easily and add me as a friend, then see my friends and family and my REAL name in full.

Armed with that information and knowong what State I live in, you could find me really easily because I don't have a common last name and I am listed in the White Pages. So I can understand why people are evasive when asked what city or state they live in.

Myself, I don't mind people knowing what city or town I live in when I know I can control that information with security settings. I also trust this community and members.

Another reason I like my general location known is, as you know I am passionate about being a friend for those in need, and if there is ever anyone in my area that needs a cuddle and a bit of support, they can find me and contact me if they feel comfortable enough to do so.

I have been know to send messages to kids and teens and telling them that information on their profile makes them easy to find and they should review what information they leave on their profile....there is just too many scarey people that want to do scarey things to our young people.

I've found that being scary to the scary people works wonders, too. I've had friends (both genders) who've been stalked/harassed/intimidated by older men. These older men suddenly lose interest when they learn that I am armed, trained, and fully capable of personally hunting down those who harm the ones I care for.

Stalkers generally aren't afraid of the law...but they are terrified by the thought of confronting an angry individual in-person. If they they could deal with others in-person, they wouldn't be stalking anyone in the first place.

I have no problem with putting a town/city in my profile. Sure, it narrows it down a lot from a country to that, but it's not like it's going to pin-point me out. I am, however, very iffy about giving out information that is any more specific than that; usually just if I'm comfortabe with whomever I am giving it to.
I know a lot of people don't like giving out any sort of information, but I've never seen a problem with giving out something as small as that. Of, course, if something happened to cause me to change this thought, I would.

I'm only out to a few very close friends.

I haven't told any family members yet because I don't see a point unless I ever get with a man.

But my details and location are all correct.
