"Free will?" WTF?

So, in the face of causation, what could "free will" possibly mean?:confused:

Freewill is double standard, we think we want something when we've just been manipulated to believe we need something or want something, to be told what we think we want to hear. Like music, people will always follow threads and fashion, which is controlled and made by the media and government. Why did the Hippie culture die? Cause they know the truth, love is all you need, not war, not junk, not technology, not expensive brand clothing, not money, no society, no power, no rule.

A useful metaphor for life is "river". We can be like a leaf on a river. We can swim upstream or just go with the flow.

If you look at the picture below of a "braided" river imagine you're a kayaker paddling downstream. You have lots of choices, stay to the left, stay to the right, steer down the middle...? The choices are yours: Free Will.

Ultimately, it doesn't matter, because over time you'll be deposited where the river empties into the vast and seemingly infinite ocean (another metaphor if you like).

Yes it is, because Catholics what to tell control through guilt and you need free will to be responsible.
Ethicists want to appeal to a sense of intellectual honesty, so they conjure free will to make one feel responsible.
But nobody can explain precisely what it is or how it works, or in the case of Ethicists, why we should believe in this elusive 'thingy.'

Well, in what way are you saying the robot does not have free will; does it not choose, or is it not a somehow "free" choice. If the latter, what definition of "free" are you using?
