lyrics that hit home...
I am insensitive I have a tendency to pay more attention to the things that
I need.
Sometimes I drink to much, sometimes I test your trust, sometimes I dunno
Why you're staying with me?

I'm hard to love, hard to love, I don't make it easy, I couldn't do it if I
Stood where you stood
I'm hard to love, hard to love, you say that you need me, I don't deserve
It but I love that you love me. goood

I am a short fuse, I am a wrecking ball crashing into your heart like I do
You're like a Sunday morning full of grace and full of Jesus I wish that I
Could be more like you.

I'm hard to love, hard to love, I don't make it easy, I couldn't do it if I
Stood where you stood,
I'm hard to love, hard to love, you say that you need me, I don't deserve
It but I love that you love me. Goood
Love me good

Girl you've given me a million second chances and I don't ever wanna take
You for granted, I'm just a man, I'm just a man

Hard to love, hard to love, oh I don't make it easy and I couldn't do it if
I stood where you stood.
I'm hard to love, hard to love and you say that you need me, I don't
Deserve it but I love that you love me. good. (x2)

You love me good.

I love this song from Lupe Fiasco, a lot of his songs have a powerful meaning behind them and being from Chicago a lot of his friends were killed in gang related violence (some in gangs some innocent at the wrong place and time). this song is about racism and how different the world would be if it didn't exist, a lot of people are blind to racism but trust me it still exist. I've been called the N word multiple times (and yes they meant it in a racist way) and I can tell who is a racist, like when I walk past two white guys in camo clothing and they stop mid conversation and stare, it really pisses me off:mad: I'm just glad I'm not small no telling what they would do. enough rambling I'll post the song now.

[Hook]
You would never know
If you could ever be
If you never try
You would never see
Stayed in Africa
We ain't never leave
So there were no slaves in our history
Were no slave ships, were no misery, call me crazy, or isn't he
See I fell asleep and I had a dream, it was all black everything

[Lupe Fiasco-Verse 1]
Uh, and we ain't get exploited
White man ain't feared it so he did not destroy it
We ain't work for free, see they had to employ it
Built it up together so we equally appointed
First 400 years, see we actually enjoyed it
Constitution written by W.E.B. Du Bois
Were no reconstructions, civil war got avoided
Little black sambo grows up to be a lawyer
Extra extra on the news stands
Black woman voted head of Ku Klux Klan
Malcolm Little dies as an old man
Martin Luther King read the eulogy for him
Followed by Bill O'Reilly who read from the Quran
President Bush sends condolences from Iran
Where Fox News reports live
That Ahmadinejad wins the Mandela Peace Prize

[Hook]

[Lupe Fiasco-Verse 2]
Uh, and it ain't no projects
Keepin it real is not an understood concept
Yea, complexion's not a contest
Cause racism has no context
Hip-hop ain't got a section called conscious
Everybody rappin like crack never happened
Crips never occurred nor bloods to attack them
Matter of fact no hood to attack in
Somalia is a great place to relax in
Fred Astaire was the first to do a backspin
The Rat Pack was cool group of black men
That inspired the five white guys called the Jacksons
Eminem fitted in but then again he inspired a black rapper tryin to mimic him
And thats what really rose up out of Michigan, the sign of white rapper by the name of 50 cent

[Hook]

[Lupe Fiasco-Verse 3]
Uh, and I know it's just a fantasy
I cordially invite you to ask why can't it be
Now we can do nothing bout the past
But we can do something about the future that we have
We can make it fast or we can make it last
Every woman queen and every man a king and
When those color lines come we can't see between
We just close our eyes till its all black everything

You know I'm not one to break promises.
I don't want to hurt you, but I need to breathe.
At the end of it all you're still my best friend,
But there's something inside that I need to release.
Which way is right?
Which way is wrong?
How do I say that I need to move on?
You know we're heading separate ways.

And it feels like I am just too close to love you.
There's nothing I can really say.
I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more.
Got to be true to myself.
And it feels like I am just too close to love you,
So I'll be on my way.

You've given me more than I can return,
Yet there's oh so much that you deserve.
There's nothing to say, nothing to do.
I've nothing to give.
I must live without you.
You know we're heading separate ways.

And it feels like I am just too close to love you.
There's nothing I can really say.
I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more.
Got to be true to myself.
And it feels like I am just too close to love you.
So I'll be on my way.
So I'll be on my way.

And it feels like I am just too close to love you.
There's nothing I can really say.
I can't lie no more, I can't hide no more.
Got to be true to myself.
And it feels like I am just too close to love you.
So I'll be on my way.
So I'll be on my way.

On my own

And now I'm all alone again nowhere to turn, no one to go to
without a home without a friend without a face to say hello to
And now the night is near
Now I can make believe he's here

Sometimes I walk alone at night
When everybody else is sleeping
I think of him and then I'm happy
With the company I'm keeping
The city goes to bed
And I can live inside my head

On my own
Pretending he's beside me
All alone
I walk with him till morning
Without him
I feel his arms around me
And when I lose my way I close my eyes
And he has found me

In the rain the pavement shines like silver
All the lights are misty in the river
In the darkness, the trees are full of starlight
[- From: http://www.elyrics.net -]
And all I see is him and me forever and forever
And I know it's only in my mind
That I'm talking to myself and not to him
And although I know that he is blind
Still I say, there's a way for us

I love him
But when the night is over
He is gone
The river's just a river
Without him
The world around me changes
The trees are bare and everywhere
The streets are full of strangers

I love him
But every day I'm learning
All my life
I've only been pretending
Without me
His world would go on turning
A world that's full of happiness
That I have never known

I love him
I love him
I love him
But only on my own

Also this is my 500th post. XD Yay for me.Elefant

Rubbing my unopened eyelids, I can see
Into a pastel-patterned future
I'll pursue an inlaid symbol
My expression one of reeling it in close
Say, what was it that I've been searching for?
When, let me think, was it?
That we met as we defied gravity
It's like a waltz, isn't it? So wondrous
At a crossroad lit with sunbeams seeming to whisper through the trees
As the two of us rotate as if in a waltz,
We express ourselves
Throwing up all my overheated emotions,
I could see the landscape
Over half a year ago, I made it smolder
By setting the image on fire
What was it that I've lost?
Even so, I'm fine, I tell you
We'll probably seek out comparisons with our gravity
It's like a waltz, isn't it? So lovely
As we listen to chirps that seem to murmur
As if we're dancing a waltz, the two of us
Express ourselves
Ah, repaint reality, which is playing dumb, with primary colors
I'll draw you close to me, so, please
From there on, let's continue to dance
Our very own waltz
It's like a waltz, isn't it? So wondrous
At a crossroad lit with sunbeams seeming to whisper through the trees
As the two of us rotate as if in a waltz,
We express ourselves

A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
A pot, a pan, a broom, a hat.

Someone should have set a match to this place years ago.
A bench, a tree.
So, what's a stove? Or a house?
People who pass through Anatevka don't even know they've been here.
A stick of wood. A piece of cloth.

What do we leave? Nothing much.
Only Anatevka.

Anatevka, Anatevka.
Underfed, overworked Anatevka.
Where else could Sabbath be so sweet?
Anatevka, Anatevka.
Intimate, obstinate Anatevka,
Where I know everyone I meet.

Soon I'll be a stranger in a strange new place,
Searching for an old familiar face
From Anatevka.

I belong to Anatevka,
Tumble-down, work-a-day Anatevka.
Dear little village, little town of mine.

Some day, when I'm awfully low,
When the world is cold,
I will feel a glow just thinking of you
And the way you look tonight.

Yes you're lovely, with your smile so warm
And your cheeks so soft,
There is nothing for me but to love you,
And the way you look tonight.

With each word your tenderness grows,
Tearing my fear apart
And that laugh that wrinkles your nose,
It touches my foolish heart.

Lovely, never, ever change.
Keep that breathless charm.
Won't you please arrange it ?
Cause I love you, just the way you look tonight.

Mm, mm, mm, mm,
Just the way you look to-night.
