Writing my novel.

Oooooh! I love writing. And reading.
I can't WAIT to read the finished product, it sounds fabulous.
Also the only thing by Clive Barker I've ever read was Mr. B. Gone.

Thanks 452. Unfortunately, you will have to wait awhile before its all finished, but I will try to keep updating with new chapters.

Speaking of, I just posted Chapter 3!

I am so pleased that my story is being received so well on WeBook. I have been given some great advice too. I'm glad I found WeBook, which I surprisingly found in the little ad box in the top right hand corner of the first post of this thread. So really, I have GS to thank for pointing me there.

Is there something wrong with this sentence in Ch 2?

Quote:It was only when he reached the top of the stairs that his he knew his feeling was right.

and this:
Quote:but he built like a tower and Valmont wouldn't stand a chance against the beast.

and here:
Quote:A black dress was draped over her and she was deck out with many pieces of jewelry.

here:
Quote:Eighteen years was more than enough, but you proven to be just a pathetic boy.

I also think I found something in the Prologue and will go back another time to check...

other than those small edits This is a fantastic read. Great characters with many interesting developments already with great expectations... cant wait for more!

Thanks Frank. I can't tell you how many times I do little things like that. I catch a lot of them, but as you can see, little mistakes still slip by.

*There I fixed those errors. I read over my prologue and didn't see anything out of the ordinary. I'm terrible for somehow skipping over little tiny errors (especially forgetting to include words like 'not' in a sentence).

I learned a secret from my secretary in uni... read everything backwards... you will catch more things since you are too use to the flow forwards... do you understand that??? Only two hours sleep... so back to beddies for me...

Interesting technique Frank, I should put it to my students... I often had one of my colleagues read through test papers before publishing them for exams because you don't see on screen the mistakes that stand out in print normally... At least that's my experience of proof reading. She was really good at pointing things out even though I do have the experience of re reading what I've written, and correcting it as I go along. I'm often surprised at the low quality of proof reading that goes on these days, in newspapers, chats and blogs.

Mistakes can hide really well... it take me days to bring something in to the standards i have.

Xrimo i ve read your prologue and i really like your writing. Best compliment i can ever give to a writer , i read a lot but i dont finish every book i start unless it make me want to know what happens next and you did that very well! I just might want to finish reading your novel Biggrina

I think i will hate Anne unless if this character continues to the next chapters and there is a twist to make me like her or understand her.
