I have another question - this isn't specifically for you, but as you're Welsh you'll be able to help me out with it (if that's ok ?). I just want to know how to pronounce a place name - Llanidloes ... is it "Clanedloyth" ? Or something like that ??

Basically you have it right.. but generally "ll" is fl.
