Israel Attack Iran?
#11
Inchante Wrote:Israel would indeed do it in order to make sure that a hostile Islamic country did not get possession of a Nuclear missile. And Britain would love the oil as much as Saudi Arabia too you know. Indeed, it used to have it.

I'm not sure they would be so foolish to go to war with Iran, not if their boarders aren't attacked, after all they have America and their poodle Britain to do the fighting, the way our politicians are talking you would think Richard I had come back to do battle with the Muslims...!!

You mean mid-twentieth-century American naivete when it came to Imperial Britain's' desire to maintain its stakes in Iranian oil, don't you?

And, no, given Israel's past and highly questionable conduct in pursuit of its own gains, I do think that they would attack Iran based solely on their nuclear program. After all, Israel is the most likely candidate for the recent assassination of an Iranian Nuclear Physicist. It has a very large, well trained, and aggressive military with its own nuclear weapons, and the support of all the NATO counties.

I don't trust this situation at all.
The whole thing has me worried and on edge.

The Israelis have their back to the wall , and unlike all the countries that surround them , they are fighting for the right to exist. It seems that they are always fighting for this, and my heart goes out to them.

Now I, do not know about you , but I would not go anywhere near a cornered rat. ( no insult intended)
I am not even going to touch on the subject of Palestinian rights.
Trans Jordan has been and gone .

The middle east has always been volatile to say the least.
It's a gigantic Tar-baby that every one sticks to , I am so grateful for the 11 U.S aircraft carriers that are there and will remain there for as long as needed.

I hope Iran has got the good sense not to make Israel feel desperate and without choices.
Remember Masada only this time they have nukes.

Their founding fathers created their country in a land which others already considered to be theirs. One reaps what on sows. And besides I still remember the bombing of the King David Hotel.

If I were the government of Iran I certainly would not feel comfortable knowing that Israel had nuclear weapons and I did not.

And we British forget that we ruled Palestine, from 1922 until 1948 and sadly we left Palestinians to their fate. What happened after that was ethic cleansing of the Palestinians, and the mass immigration from Europe of the Jewish people. Without a fair and honest settlement of the Palestinian problem there will be no peace, and so Israel must take a lot of responsibility for the situation they find their selves in, It makes one wonder how long America can afford to prop-up this Israel????

Lets not forget Saudi Arabia would love America or whatever to attack and destroy Iran so Saudi would be the dominant force in the Middle East, with their version of a Muslim state.... No Israel would be very foolish to attack a Muslim country seeing that they are surrounded by Muslims off all types.

Israel do what they like because they have the balls to do what they believe. To put it bluntly "they take no shit". At the end of the day Gaza fires rockets into Israel all of the time and Israel then bombards them, it's tit for tat and everyone knows Israel will win. At the end of the day Israel aren't genocidal backward maniacs and their people live in a democracy not a dictatorship. The time of these dictators and hate filled middle eastern countries are numbered, they just don't want to let go.

I'm afraid it's coming up for Presidential elections in Yankee land and so we can look forward to an incident that will spark off hostilities with Iran, oh and for the British Government, well it's the American Government's poodle, and so will go wagging it's tail into any conflict that the Americans feel they need to have, to secure their oil.

You forget it was the British who controlled Palestine, and allowed the ethic cleansing of the Palestinian Arabs and many Jewish Arabs also from the land of their birth. Your argument is simplistic, to deny the right of a certain populace to live in the land of their birth is just wrong. It's a festering sore that will never heal unless there is a settlement. Yes Israel does have the strength to attack, but at the end of the day they are still financially supported by the USA. You certainly give the impression of racial hatred toward the Palestinians.
