So, I went to the pet shop today :biggrin:

Just to take a look, okay? :biggrin: And there she was... Only one inch long! It took everything I got in me to turn around and walk away from that baby LOL
I thought I would feel good about not doing an impulsive buy. I mean pets can't be bought impulsively, right?
Well I still don't feel good about it :biggrin:

It was either the same species Sora is, or it could have been Kinosternon. They seem to keep both species in one tank and she was the last.

As far as I know, it's illegal to sell them under the size of 4inches, but I'm not sure about the Czech Republic, but most places this is how it is.

Some species like the Ornate Slider and Rio Grande Slider turtle's look very similar to Red Ear Sliders (like Sora) , just different colouring and sizes, but they start out about the same, appearance-wise.

It's okay to make an impulsive buy, as long as you know what you're getting into :p .

You need to save a little more then, I guess :biggrin: You want to have several of them, they will grow, so will their tank and one lava lamp wouldn't be enough :biggrin:

Yep, and the common size for the females is 13-15inches, so watch out , plus the males are usually highly territorial, even with the females :p .
