Am I asexual?
#1
For the last couple of years I have been losing my desire to have sex. I no longer have that "i want to do nasty things to that guy" feeling. I still appreciate a nice man but that is where it ends, I feel the same way about a nice body as I feel towards a piece of art.

I am feeling that I will have sex with my future partner but only because I love him.

It's weird and yea I haven't sorted this all out yet but I wanted to know your opinion...

I think we all go through phases of heightened or lessened sexual interest and desire.  It can depend on a lot of different things, like what else is going on in our lives, the amount of stress we're under, even our state of health at the moment.  How you feel right now is not necessarily an indicator of how you'll always feel.

My thought would be to just relax and let your sexuality evolve at it's own pace.  I don't think you're in danger of never wanting sex again.  Sexual attraction and sexual desire are unpredictable.  I've gone through periods when I've had absolutely no interest in sex, but after a while that always changed.

Relax, and I'm sure it won't be long before you're back to your usual state.

Could it be that you are more inclined to have sex with someone you know more intimately?
Tell him when l come up to him and ask to play the record, l'm gonna say:
''Voulez-vous jouer ce disque?''
'Voulez-vous, will you kiss my dick?'
Will you play my record? One-track mind!

I will say I feel less frisky than I did say 10 years ago...I was also more risky than I am now. Sometimes I wonder if may as well be, sooo is there any emotional reasons that might feel this way in addition to what everyone else has said up to this point?

Maybe it’s just a phase you are going through? You are way to young to know for certain. Do you think therapy might help or would you like to talk to a priest about it? ——————- sorry, but I couldn’t resist to bring up these old tropes gay men had to listen too since forever.

As the others have mentioned there could be lots of reasons for you to feel asexual right now (Depression, hormonal changes, side-effects from medication are some more) and there is also a chance of those feelings changing in the future again. There is no need to label yourself unless you feel it would help you to be your authentic self.

Haha well this might just be a phase I'm going through and therapy might help actually.
I do like labels and knowing where I fit in. I think it stems from me not having a diagnosis for my multiple sclerosis for some time.

Have you changed your diet habit ? Some food contain ingredient that gives us more libido, some less.

Or it's because the whole situation around us is depressing and that has an impact on you...

I brief research on MS says that sexual problems are common with the disease, from lower libido, erectile dysfunction and loss of sensation in the penis.  Doctors can probably help with some of that.

Also, a common complaint from porn users is a loss of interest in sex with someone other than you hand.  What is your porn history?
