Trump or Hillary as President, who else is petrified?

I'm actually beyond depressed seeing how things are going right now. So I only like Sanders really out of the people that are left, I would take Kasich then Rubio after that though not very willingly (Gary Johnson I'd vote for if not Sanders). But I just can't believe my eyes at what's going on. Shameless plug, if you are looking to vote Democrat give my article a read too while you're at it https://medium.com/@matthewsands1/the-ca....bzepmt1f4 I think we're in for a world of shit, well we in the states.

Welcome to the world of politics, where you vote not for the better canditate but for the lesser of two evils. Although between Trump an anyone else, the lesser evil would be that someone else.

Things are getting difficult.
Either Rubio or Cruz needs to drop out to stop eating into each other support if they want to stop Trump.
I fear Cruz' ego is too big and the establishment pressure on Rubio too high for either to drop out, but we will see.

I doubt Trump could build a broad enough voter base to win the presidency, not without seriously minimising his controversial views that Republicans are mostly voting for him for(so it would depend on how good he is at being everything to everyone).
Either that or if the US populace finds itself in the grip of Socialist Sanders/Corrupt Clinton hysteria...which I would think somewhat unlikely...

After watching the debate last night, I got kind of stressed out. Its a circus... Im not a big fan of Clinton, but part of me feels that Sanders is too far left for a big chunk of democrats and if he gets the democratic nomination, a republican might get voted in. And of the top 3 republicans right now, I really, really dont want that to happen. After watching that debate last night, its like... this would be entertaining if it were the circus coming to town. But the idea that these are three potential presidents... its on the terrifying level.

I really worry that 1, there are enough Americans who agree with Trump's sentiments to vote him in. And 2, there are enough apathetic Americans who are bored with politics and would vote him in just because they are entertained by him. That is why I think he actually has a chance. But you know what, if he wins, then that really is the president this country deserves.

Another problem with Sanders is that look at what the republicans did to Obama - they blocked his every move. I know this site doesnt handle racial talk well, so for the sake of peace, lets pretend all of that was strictly motivated by politics - imagine how they'd act for someone as far left as Sanders. None of his ideas would go through. So to me, hes basically just talk. Even if its the kind of talk that I personally agree with.

Im voting for Jill Stein. Not because I actually think she has a chance, or because I could even imagine that if for some wild reason she got voted in, she'd be able to do anything - she'd probably have the republicans and the democrats both up her ass. But because I believe strongly that this is a damaged country, a damaged system, and I cannot with good conscious vote for the lesser of two evils. I nearly always support the Greens on local levels, and thats where it really counts for a real grassroots third party. Voting for Stein on a national level is basically a protest vote. But as long as Im confident NY will go democratic anyway, ultimately thats the party id prefer in, whether its Clinton or Sanders, and that its the electoral college that decides this anyway, I'll vote Green. Because why not - I dont want any of those clowns as president.

By the way - its out there that Rubio is a closeted homosexual, right? I mean, Im not the only one who sees (hears) that, right?

I have noticed this. Same happens here to some degree, the right is on a constant attack to anything and everything the executive tries to pull off. It's actually quite fun to watch. Not that I agree with several of these poorly made socialists reforms, but is these right winger nutjobs have our best interests in their heads when blocking them, then I'm Chinese. It all becomes a circus

In a way, it must happen. The Executive can't be all powerful and do everything it pleases without some form of check.

Those are your alternatives, it seems. Over here we would simply vote "null" by crossing everyone's names a a form of protest vote. Seem like the political system is viced in many places.

If this is true lets prepare some popcorn for the inevitable public sex scandal to come!

I get not giving all the power to the president. But it was absurd what the republicans did to Obama. Absolutely insane. Its one thing to have checks and balances, its another thing to have gridlock.

And a quick google search of Marco Rubio Gay did just show me Im not alone in thinking that.

I bid NO Trump!

Genersis, I do agree that the Rubio/Cruz forces need to drop one candidate [I'd say Cruz] and use the consolidation of their voters to cope with Trump. Still, there is not a good candidate among them.

I think that Hilary is the best bet for all 'round ability and experience. I do not go with the "Evil Clintons" talk and I frankly think that she would e able to cope with Congress more effectively that anyone else of either party. Sanders is just not concrete and specific enough.

The real problem here is Congress. The Republicans acting like obstructive jackasses has got to stop. You simply cannot tell me that that many people think the exact same way. There is the worst kind of political pressure being applied and it is hurting the expression of diversity and the real dialogue that needs to take place on issues. If our elected officials are not able to work with each other like ladies and gentlemen then we need to replace them.

McConnell trying to play king with the Supreme Court is the rudest and most manipulative ego trip I have ever seen from a person who is elected to act on behalf of the people.

PS: If Rubio is gay, more power to him. It's his life.
I bid NO Trump!

Well, it is when the government shuts down because of them, I agree.

On that kind of matters our executive here has some...extra faculties, so as to prevent that kind of scenario...

(I mean we did have a civil war bcause of a disagreement bewteen the Congres and the President over bidget already...lol)
