Colin,

I forgot to mention I'm glad to hear you have found yourself a good man.

Thanks - I couldn't have asked for a more loving, caring and tender boyfriend. And to think, it was a friend who introduced us. Not with any intention of "here's a prospective boyfriend" but more a: do you want to meet up Saturday and by the way, do you mind if I bring a friend along.

Lucky you!
Best of luck to you both

I dunno really about biting my tongue, it was more a case of gritting my teeth and pinching my arm in order to stop me from ripping her face off ... i'm sweet and innocent really

She was complaining about the state I've put my body in and what is it going to be like when I'm older and still having things like *that* on my body. She seems against the idea of me having metal in my left ear (a single silver hoop in the cartilage) and a Black Widow tattooed on my left wrist. Personally, I think it's a pretty spider and none of the staff or my patients have ever complained about it (I'm a student mental health nurse)... thankfully she never saw my 5 other tattoos

In reflection, I kind of wish I had shown off the rest of my tattoos, or told her some of the story as to why I have decorated my body in such a matter... or atleast have turned around and told her to keep her comments to herself until I was atleast out of earshot like any decent person does.

I would post a picture of the offending tattoo, but I'm too new... remind me after I've hit 50 posts and I'll gladly flash off my body art Wink

You could inform her that you will take your chances that your (future) saggy tattoos will be no better or worse than her (current) saggy chesticles (or jowls, or backfat...)

Better late than never Confusedmile:.

I don't agree with her views that I'm some sort of scum and that I've defiled my body because I have some ink and piercings. EVERY *SINGLE* thing that I've had done to my body has a meaning and a purpose. I don't understand how some people can think that just because someone has tattoos and/or piercing that they're some sort of thug or criminal, or are beneath them. Snobby boot that she is

I think that's a good thing. It it has meaning it is more personal and there is value to it.

I've toyed with the idea of getting tattoos for many years. But never got one done because I never knew what I wanted. In hindsight I'm glad I never did because they just never would have had a meaning for me.

Now I am seriously considering it again. A Yin-Yang. Paul and I complete each other. I'm the sunshine and he is the moonshine. I am light and he is dark. I'm the serious one and he is the fun one.
