I touched a dog for the first time in my 28 years of life. Well two dogs at once. It was a historical day.
I always pass this house every day on my morning run. The owner has two dogs and she doesn't take care of her dogs very well. I think she only uses them to guard her house. Those two German Sheppard dogs always look dirty and sad. I felt helpless.
So anyways today the owner let the dogs out from her house for a while. I don't know why. Those dogs just sat quietly in front of the house gate.
I was running towards their direction at the moment. I slowed down my speed when I got closer to them. One of the dogs, a black German Sheppard approached me in a friendly way. I patted and brushed him. Felt like carpet. The doggie just wanted to be spoiled because he was lonely.
The second one was hesitant to approach me. I went down to my knees and allowed the dog to sniff my right hand. He then allowed me to pet him.
I am so going to bring snacks for them next week.
